Women in Science and Engineering

In most fields of science and engineering, the participation of women has increased since 1995. The figures from the National Science Foundation show the trends in enrollment for engineering, computer sciences, physics, math and statistics, and biosciences.

In terms of occupations, the National Science Foundation reports that 28% of science and engineering jobs in 2015 are held by women. Over all occupations, women make up 47% of the workforce.
